Mrs. Lola Mae Worsham, 87, of Cartersville, died Thursday, December 8, 2011 at Cartersville Medical Center. Born in Cedartown, Georgia, January 17, 1924, she was the daughter of the late Bill Tillery and the late Cora Lanning. She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Wilburn Worsham; and two sisters, Annie Mae Langford and Nelie Ray.
Mrs. Worsham was a member of Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church and was retired from Dunaway Drugs after twenty years of service. She enjoyed watching her grandchildren and great-grandchildren play sports, and listening to gospel music. Most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family. She was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
Mrs. Worsham is survived by her husband of sixty eight years, Dallas Worsham; her daughter and son-in-law, Connie and Clyde Abernathy; her son and daughter-in-law, Steve and Terry Worsham; her grandchildren, Bryan and Pam Abernathy, Carl and Kelley Abernathy, Shane and Pam Worsham, Ron Worsham, and Felisha and Jason Houp; her great-grandchildren, Turner, Ella, Jaxon, and Maggy Abernathy, Brandon, Austin, Adessa and Dallas Worsham, Jaxon, Jayden and Taylor Houp; special friends, Dick and Nancy Collins, James and Joan Whitener and Jean Smith; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, December 11, 2011 at Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church with Reverend Ralph Shook, Reverend Larry Rich and Reverend Michael Tutterow officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memory Gardens.
Serving as pallbearers will be Bryan and Carl Abernathy, Shane and Ron Worsham, and Danny and Gary Dunagan. The men of Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church will serve as honorary pallbearers.
The family will receive friends from 5 � 8 p.m., Saturday at Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 430 Cassville Road, Cartersville.
