Lorene Poole

Mrs. Lorene Poole, 79, of Cartersville passed away Wednesday, November 08, 2011 at Maple Ridge Nursing Home. She was born in Rome, Georgia, October 11, 1932, and was the daughter of Irene Glass Hidgon and the late Albert F. Shepherd. Preceding her in death are her father; her husband, Willard D. Poole; her sister, Bonnie Kincannon; and her son-in-law, Terry Waits.

Mrs. Poole was a member of Peeples Valley Baptist Church and was a homemaker. She had a great personality always full of fun. She was good hearted and was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother.

She is survived by her children, David Poole and Michelle Poole Waits both of Cartersville; her grandchildren, Michael Poole, Jacob Waits and Zach Waits; her mother, Irene Higdon of Cartersville; her great-grandchild which is due in May; and several nieces and nephews.

Services will be private.
