Mrs. Lorraine "Granny Biscuit" Ray, 86, of Cartersville, died Thursday, April 21, 2016 at Floyd Medical Center.
Born May 28, 1929 in St. Louis, Missouri, she was a daughter of the late Buster Lee and the late Nora King Lee. Mrs. Ray loved her family, and was an amazing lady who loved Jesus with all her heart, and dedicated her life to him. She loved all animals, especially her dog, Scrappy. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Ray was preceded in death by her husbands, Bill Matthews and Grady Ray; daughter, Judy Matthews; son, Gary Matthews; granddaughter, Rebecca Matthews; and siblings, James Lee and Lucille Cottone.
Survivors include her children, Mack Matthews and his wife Pat, Earl Matthews and his wife Tami, and Tammy Sue Thomason; 9 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held on Sunday, April 24, 2016 at 2:00 p.m., at the graveside, in Cassville Cemetery with Mack Matthews officiating. The family will receive friends on Saturday, April 23, 2016 from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Parnick Jennings Funeral Home.
Serving as Pallbearers will be Jeremy Drawdy, James Harrelson, John Ellis, David Bailey, Hunter Myrick, Kenneth Tant, Justin Mahan, and Kaleb Thomason.
