Louise Burton

Mrs. Louise Huether Burton, age 77, of Rome, passed away Thursday at Floyd Medical Center after a brief illness.



Mrs. Burton was born in Germany and moved to Cave Spring in 1952 with her family. She was preceded in death by her husband, the late Charles Richard Burton, her parents the late Gottlieb & Hulda Huether, and brother, Gottlieb Huether and sister-in-law, Elizabeth Burton all of Rome.



She was a homemaker and a member of Mt. Pleasant Methodist Church, Rome, GA.



She is survived by her daughters, Jeanette (Jerry) Hughes of Dacula, Barbara (David) Odom of Cartersville, a son, Bob Burton of Pensacola, FL and two grandchildren, Branden Hughes of Atlanta, and Aimee Odom of Cartersville.



She is also survived by her brothers, Edgar, Richard, & Adolph Huether all of Rome and sisters, Erica Adkins of Rome and Vera Worthington of Atlanta, step-brother, Ludwig Huether of Germany, numerous brothers & sisters- in- law, nieces and nephews.



Funeral Services will be held Sunday, August 29, 2010 at 2:00 P.M. in the Oaknoll Chapel of the McGuire, Jennings, & Miller Funeral Home with her Pastor Michael Holt officiating. Interment will follow in Floyd Memory Gardens



The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday from 12 noon until hour of service.
