Louise Albertina Bailey Dee, 81, of Cartersville passed away Saturday, January 10, 2009 at Redmond Regional Hospital in Rome, Georgia. Born March 1, 1927, in Houlton, Maine she was the daughter of the late Albert Bailey and Myrtle Louise Joyce Bailey. She was also preceded in death by her husband Maurice �Moe� Dee to whom she was married to for 45 years.
Survivors include her sons and daughter-in-law, Maury and Ann Dee of White and John Jack Dee of Cartersville; her grandchildren, Connie McLendon, Catherine & Parker, Matthew Kaylor, and Christy Dunn; her great-grandchildren, Tabitha McLendon, Lucy McLendon, Abigail Parker, Zachary Parker, Dalton Kaylor, Audrey Kaylor, Ryan Dunn Jr., and Rogan Dunn; her sister Joyce Bowker of Canton, and a brother-in-law Clayton Dee of Perth Andover, Canada.
Louise loved to shop, camp and travel. She was a graduate of Nyack College in New York and worked for the State of Connecticut as a registered nurse for nearly 20 years. She also worked at Ty Cobb hospital in Royston, GA and Northside Hospital in Atlanta. She was a missionary for five years in Pakistan and she was also a faithful member of Tabernacle Baptist Church where she enjoyed attending Sunday school classes.
A celebration of Louise�s life will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 13, 2009 at Tabernacle Baptist Church with Dr. Don Hattaway officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6 � 9 p.m. Monday at Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Northside Bank, 325 Cherokee Place, Cartersville, GA 30121.
