Louise Sherman

Mrs. Louise Tucker Sherman age 83, of Rome, GA, died Tuesday, February 9, 2010, in a local hospital.



Mrs. Sherman was born in Jefferson County, Arkansas on February 8, 1927, the daughter of the late Leslie Daniel Tucker and Vivian Lee Ramick Tucker. She was of the Baptist faith and enjoyed playing Bridge. Mrs. Sherman attended Pine Bluff High School and graduated Gulf Park College in Gulf Port, Arkansas. She was a member of Atrusa Club and a former board member of the YMCA. In addition to her parents Mrs. Sherman was preceded in death by her first husband, Michael Rodney Garner and her second husband, Milton Daniel Sherman.



Survivors include a daughter and a son-in-law, Vicki and Eddie Brock of Cedar Bluff, AL; two grandchildren, Haley Bryson of Ringgold, GA and Reed Johnston of Woodlawn, AR; four great-grandchildren, Megan, Leslie, Clayton, and Jacob; and a sister, Jeanie Kerr of Dallas, TX.



A Celebration of Life will be held Friday, February 12, 2010, at 2:00 P.M. in the Oaknoll Chapel of the McGuire, Jennings, & Miller Funeral Home with Rev. Glen Clonts officiating.



The family will receive friends following the service in the Oaknoll Chapel.
