Lucille Bryan

Mrs. Lucille Bryan, age 88, of 2317 Calhoun Highway, Rome, GA, died Wednesday evening, March 31, 2004, at the residence of her daughter, Becky Baynes, 3500 Brown Bridge Road, Dalton, GA.Mrs. Bryan was born on April 11, 1915, the daughter of the late John Wesley Blankenship and Telitha Mullinax Blankenship. She had been a resident of Floyd County for the greater part of her life and was a member of the Saint Luke United Methodist Church. For a number of years Mrs. Bryan was associated with Sears and Roebuck Company as a sales clerk. She loved working in her garden, working with flowers, knitting and loved being a mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Mrs. Bryan was preceded in death by her husband, David Hiram Bryan, a son, Cecil Hiram Bryan, and three grandsons, Curtis Todd Bryan, Keith Bryan and Kevin Bryan. Twelve brothers and sisters also preceded her in death.Mrs. Bryan is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Becky and Harold Baynes of Dalton, GA; two sons and daughters-in-law, Harry and Patsy Bryan of Woodstock, GA, and Bruce E. and Carol Bryan of Rome; a daughter-in-law, Laura Hamilton Bryan of Rome. Eleven grandchildren and nineteen great-grandchildren also survive.Funeral services for Mrs. Bryan will be held on Saturday morning, April 3, 2004, at 11 a.m. in the Heritage Chapel of the Jennings Funeral Home with Rev. Dewayne White officiating.
