Lucille Sanders

Mrs. Lucille Rathbone Sanders, 75 of Kingston, Georgia, was welcomed home on May 4, 2024. She was born in Marshall, North Carolina on June 16, 1948 to the late Garland Rathbone and the late Ethie Bell Stines Rathbone. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by two brothers Paul Rathbone and Dwight Rathbone; and two sisters Lila Harris and Mildred Crowder.

Lucille was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She could most often be found playing on her computer and chatting with anyone and everyone; she never met a stranger. She adored animals and babies, and they adored her. She left her family with too many favorite memories and they loved her dearly.

Survivors include her loving husband of 53 years, Bob Sanders; her children, Angela Hardman & husband Bennie, Jennifer Brown, and Carl Sanders; seven grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; and brothers Jerry Rathbone & wife Myra and Herman Rathbone.

The family will receive friends from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm on Tuesday, May 14, 2024 at Parnick Jennings Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, May 14, 2024 at Georgia National Cemetery.

Serving as pallbearers will be Zack Hardman, B. J. hardman, Roy Hardman, John Ellis, Franklin Hardman, and Dillon Dunahoo.
