Lucy Cantrell

Lucy Azlee Gravitt Cantrell, 87, of Cartersville, died Monday, August 20, 2012 at a local hospital. A native of Bartow County, she was born November 24, 1924 to the late Jeff Gravitt and the late Fannie Gossett Gravitt. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her son, Billy Cantrell and a daughter, Judy Hogan.
Mrs. Cantrell is a member of New Hope Baptist Church.
She is survived by her daughter, Patsy Pilkay of Cartersville; her son and daughter-in-law, Danny and Rebecca Cantrell of Cartersville; twelve grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, August 25, 2012 in the chapel of Parnick Jennings Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Mt. Zion Methodist Church Cemetery in Dallas. The family will receive friends from 5 – 7 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home.
Serving as pallbearers will be Derrick Cantrell, Ethan Cantrell, Justin Pilkay, Jamie Pilkay, Raymond Cantrell, Donald Cantrell, Scott Gayton and Brian Gayton.
