Lula Branton

July 24, 1936 — March 28, 2008

Mrs. Lula Bell Branton, 71, of Kingston passed away Friday, March 28, 2008 at the Redmond Regional Medical Center. A native of Bartow County, she was born July 24, 1936 and was the daughter of the late Luther Massey and the late Bernice Temples Massey. Mrs. Branton was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, William Everett Branton; her sisters, Evelyn Cox, Virginia Crowe, and Betty Sue Massey; and her brothers, Teddy Massey, Henry Luther "Buck" Massey, Major Clifford "Buster" Massey, and Larry Wayne "Pete" Massey.

Mrs. Branton was a retired seamstress and a member of Macedonia Baptist Church in Kingston. She loved her flowers, gardening, and sewing. And she loved tending to her great-grand kids.

Survivors include her daughter, Debbie Mullinax of Kingston; her son, Tony Branton of Kingston; sister and brother-in-law, Glenda and J.D. Mulkey of Cartersville; her brothers and sisters-in-law, Jerry and Betty Massey of Cartersville, Billy Massey of Cartersville, and Don and Becky Massey of Euharlee; her granddaughter, Brandy Housley and her husband, Matthew Jimenez; and her great-grandchildren, Jazmin Jimenez and Hunter Housley.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Monday, March 31, 2008 at Macedonia Baptist Church in Kingston with Rev. Greg Patterson officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6 – 9 p.m. Sunday, March 30, 2008 at Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 430 Cassville Rd., Cartersville, GA 30120.
