Lula Hillhouse

Mrs. Lula Victoria Hillhouse, 93, of Cartersville, widow of the late Howard Lee Hillhouse, died Monday, April 6, 2015 at her residence.

Born December 1, 1921 in Fayetteville, she was the daughter of the late John Olen Flowers and the late Evie White Flowers. Mrs. Hillhouse was a member of Atco Baptist Church for over 69 years. She loved the Lord, gospel music, and her family. In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by a great-grandchild, Taylor Victoria Gallegos; and a brother, Jesse Allen Flowers.

Survivors include her daughter, Linda H. Sutton and her husband Steve of Cartersville; her sons, Gerald Lee Hillhouse, and Larry Allen Hillhouse and his wife Donna, both of Cartersville; 17 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren, 10 great-great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be held on Friday, April 10, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at Atco Baptist Church with The Reverend Mike Boatfield, The Reverend Doug Harris, and The Reverend Charles Ivey officiating. Interment will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery. Mrs. Hillhouse will lie in state at the Church, one hour prior to the service. The family will receive friends on Thursday, April 9, 2015 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Parnick Jennings Funeral Home.

Serving as Pallbearers will be Michael McFarland, Ricky McFarland, Jerry Hillhouse, Sr., Justin Hillhouse, Ryan Hillhouse, and Randy Hillhouse.
