Mable Harmon, 89, of Fairmount died Saturday, February 6, 2010 at the Cartersville Medical Center. Born May 26, 1920 in Waleska, she was the daughter of the late Walt Jenkins and the late Antimire Richards Jenkins. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Olin Sodie Harmon, and several brothers and sisters.
Mable was a homemaker and enjoyed farm life. She loved to sew, quilt, and bake, but most of all she loved her family. Mable was also a member of the Goshen Baptist Church.
Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Doyle and Margaret Harmon of Fairmount; her grandchildren and their spouses, Angie and Wayne Reed of Cartersville, Sherry and Bart Sears of Fairmount, Bridgette and Randy Gray of Adairsville, and Kim and Corey Sutton of Adairsville; her great-grandchildren and their spouses, Leigh and Eve Reed of Pine Log, Robbie Reed of Woodstock, Jacob and Brittney Franklin of Calhoun, Jessica Franklin of Fairmount, Hunter Sears of Fairmount, Emma Sutton, Collin Sutton, and Conner Sutton, all of Adairsville; her great-great-grandchildren, Codi Bailey, Chance Bailey, and Joshua Bane; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Monday, February 8, 2010 in the chapel of Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services with Rev. Dewey Childers and Rev. Harris Scoggins officiating. Burial will follow in Goshen Baptist Church Cemetery in Waleska.
Serving as pallbearers will be Mable�s nephews, Tim Jenkins, Andy Jenkins, and Jack Jenkins; and her great-nephews, Ricky Jenkins, Jed Jenkins, and Luke Jenkins. These gentlemen are asked to be at the funeral home by 12:15 p.m. on Monday.
The family will receive friends from 6 � 9 p.m. Sunday at Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 430 Cassville Rd., Cartersville, GA 30120.
