Madge Tilley

December 24, 1919 — April 22, 2010

Madge Moore Tilley, 90, of Cartersville passed away Thursday, April 22, 2010 at Starcrest of Cartersville. Born December 24, 1919, she was a native of Bartow County and was the daughter of the late William �Bill� Moore and the late Minnie Bell Beaver Moore. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Homer Tilley; her brother, William F. Moore, and her sisters, Eleanor Taylor and Grace Moore.



Madge was a member of Tabernacle Baptist Church and studied her Bible daily. She enjoyed having family and friends together to fellowship. Madge was also the family genealogist.



Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Edie and Mike Green of Dallas; her grandchildren, Barry and Melissa Mosteller of Dallas and Shannon and Eddie Emory of Fort Rucker, Alabama; her brothers, Rev. Charles Moore and Joe B. Moore, both of Cartersville; her sister, Edna Rice of Chattanooga; her great-grandchildren, Katelee Tate Russell, Gavin Blake Mosteller, Rori Peyton Mosteller, Dakota Bryston Emory, Charlie Sage Mosteller, and Bryana Nicole Emory; and several nieces and nephews.



Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, April 25, 2010 in the chapel of Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services with Rev. Charles Moore and Donald Moore officiating. Burial will follow in the Macedonia Baptist Church Cemetery.



Serving as pallbearers will be Scott Moore, Eddie Emory, Mike Rice, Boyd Fowler, Randy Reece, Al Tilley, and Scott Costelow. Serving as an honorary pallbearer will be Roger Moore. These gentlemen are requested to meet at the funeral home by 1:15 p.m. on Sunday.



The family will receive friends from 6 � 8 p.m. Saturday and from 12 � 2 p.m. Sunday at Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 430 Cassville Rd., Cartersville, GA 30120.
