Marcelene Peyton

Mrs. Marcelene Peyton, 80, of Canton, died on Monday, March 5, 2018, at her residence. Born on July 1, 1937 in Dalton, Georgia; she was the daughter of the late Raymond Lunsford "Daddy Bo" Powell and Cecile Lulla "Mama" Powell.
Mrs. Peyton was a former security officer at Kennesaw State College and owner/operator of Marcelene's used furniture and "Stuff". She loved coffee her family and her dog Zeek and was a beloved mom to all. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, John L. Peyton, Sr.
She is survived by her daughters, Lydia Richardson of Fairmount, Mechelle Lund of Canton; her sons, Raymond Clark of Ringgold, Steven Clark of Allen, Texas, Alan Peyton of Canton, Johnny Peyton of Cartersville; several grand and great grandchildren; and her dog Zeek.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, March 9, 2018 in the chapel of Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services. Interment will follow in Providence cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday from 12:00-1:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
