Marcella Lee Rylee, a beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 24th, 2026, at the age of 79. Born on May 7th, 1946, in Chattanooga, Tennessee, Marcella spent her final years in Calhoun, Georgia, where she was cherished by all who knew her.
A devoted homemaker, Marcella dedicated her life to caring for her family and creating a warm and welcoming home. Her love for her family was evident in everything she did, from her home to the thoughtful care she provided to those around her. Known for her kindness and generosity, Marcella always went out of her way to make others feel loved and appreciated.
Marcella had a passion for life and a variety of interests that brought joy to her days. She enjoyed sipping on green tea while spending time outdoors, rearranging her home to keep things fresh and lively, and celebrating her favorite holiday, Christmas. Her Christmas tree was always up before Thanksgiving, a testament to her love for the festive season. Additionally, Marcella had a fondness for horror movies, which she enjoyed watching with her family.
She is survived by her loving daughters, Angela "Angie" Callaway, Charlene "Liz" Edwards, and Vivian "Ann" Ledford; her cherished grandchildren, Chastity Crane (Anthony), Ileen Lincoln (Randy), Lynn Pulliam, and Kimberly Hill; and seven adored great-grandchildren. Marcella also leaves behind her devoted sons-in-law, Cody Ledford, Raymond Pope and James Hill.
Marcella was preceded in death by her parents, Joe and Charlus Hayes; her beloved husbands, Rylee Isaac "Stoney" and Fain Harris; her grandchild, April Brown; her sister, Jeannie Speed; and special fur baby, Pumpkin.
Marcella's family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to all who have offered support and condolences during this difficult time. Arrangements have been entrusted to Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services.
