Margaret Poston

October 15, 1943 — April 4, 2011

Mrs. Eilene Poston, 67, of Cartersville, passed away Monday, April 4, 2011 at her son�s residence in Adairsville. Born in West Virginia, October 15, 1943, Eilene was the daughter of the late Gearld Dixon and the late Freeda Dixon. Preceding her in death are her parents; her husband, Tommy Poston; her grandsons, Tyler Benefield and Justin Dixon; and two brothers, Jimmy and Charlie Dixon.



She was a member of Landmark Holiness Church. Eilene was well known to the people around Cartersville having worked at Quality Inn. She had the gift of hospitality and was a great cook. She took great pleasure in spending her Sunday cooking a huge meal for family, neighbors and anyone else that wanted to come.



She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Scott and Shannon Dixon of Adairsville, Thomas and Terri Poston of Cartersville; her daughters and sons-in-law, Michelle and Jeff Bolyard of Columbus, Ohio, Lisa Poston Nix of Cartersville, and Lori and Marshall Dye of Alabama; nine grandchildren, four great-grandchildren; her brothers and sisters-in-law, Larry and Linda Dixon of Arkansas, Johnny and Boodle Dixon of West Virginia; her sister and brother-in-law, Mary and Harry King; her brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Bob and Ivelyn Poston, Gordon and Joan Tidwell, Donnie Poston all of Cartersville; and several nieces and nephews.



Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, April 7, 2011 in the chapel of Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services with Rev. I.L. Smith and Rev. Marshall Dye officiating. Burial will follow in Lake Forest Memorial Park in Jasper.



Serving as pallbearers will be Scott Dixon, Dunky Poston, Larry Graves, Caleb Cain, Keith Nix and Don Poston.



The family will receive friends from 5 � 9 p.m., Wednesday at Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 430 Cassville Road, Cartersville.



In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made the American Cancer Society, Bartow Unit, 300 W. Emery Street, Suite 106, Dalton, Ga. 30720.
