Margaret Shook

Margaret Elizabeth Shook, 77, of Cartersville passed away Tuesday, January 13, 2009 at the Heartland Hospice House. Born February 28, 1931 in Bartow County, she was the daughter of the late John J. Jarrett and the late Mary Moore Jarrett. Mrs. Shook was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church and was retired from EZ Mills. She was preceded in death by her husband Charles Shook, her parents; her brothers and sister-in-law, J.O. and Gladys Jarrett, Alvin Jarrett, Fred Jarrett and Howard Jarrett; and a sister, Mamie Jo Cowart.



Survivors include her brothers and sisters in-law, Melvin and Dot Jarrett and Dewitt and Evelyn Jarrett; her sisters-in-law, Edna, Lois and Evelyn Jarrett; her brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Tommy and Diane Shook, Daniel and Marion Shook, Lucille Cowart, and Helen Shook; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.



Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, January 15, 2009 in the chapel of Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services with Rev. Benny Thomas, Rev. Mark Somers and Mr. Steve Paige officiating. Burial will follow in Cassville Cemetery. The deacons of Oak Grove Baptist Church will serve as pallbearers and are asked to meet at the funeral home on Thursday at 1:15 p.m.



The family will receive friends from 6 � 8 p.m. Wednesday at Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 430 Cassville Road, Cartersville, GA 30120.
