Margaret Wild

April 18, 1924 — May 3, 2012

Mrs. Margaret Mary Wild, 88, of Port Republic, New Jersey, died Thursday, May 03, 2012 at Maple Ridge Health Care Center in Cartersville. Born April 18, 1924 in Passaic, New Jersey, she was a lifelong resident of NJ before moving to Georgia to live with her daughter in 2010. �Peggy� was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Paul Wild, Jr.; her grandson, Jason Farber; her brother, Harold C. Ferris; her sister, Eleanor Dietrich; and her daughter-in-law, Mary Kay Wild.



She loved animals, gardening, baking for family and friends, and was a talented quilter belonging to several quilt guilds over the years, the last being the Allatoona Quilters Guild. Growing up and throughout her adult life, she loved spending summers in her Godeffroy, NY summer home along the Neversink River.



She is survived by her son, Robert Wild III of Port Republic, NJ; her daughters, Bonnie S. Davidson and her husband, Ed of Acworth, Georgia, and Laura J. Wild and her husband Louis Maurio of Toms River, NJ; her sister, Edith George of Eau Claire, Wisconsin; her sister-in-law, Joy Lobdell of Port Chester, NY; her grandchildren, Tara Adkisson (Brian), Robert Wild IV (Kathleen), Jennifer Thompson (Eric), Lana Farber (Mike Weimer) and Brent Davidson (Megan); and eleven great grandchildren.



A memorial service will be held at 4:00 p.m., Sunday, May 6, 2012 at the Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 430 Cassville Road, Cartersville, Ga. Her cremains will be interred at the George Washington Memorial Cemetery in Paramus, NJ at a later date.



In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent in her memory to the Heartland Hospice Memorial Fund, 333 N. Summit Street, P.O. Box 10086, Toledo, Ohio 43699-0086; or in memory of her love for dogs to SmallDog Rescue and Humane Society, P.O. Box 888570, Atlanta, Ga. 30356.
