Maria Mooney

Maria A. Mooney, 84, of Cartersville passed away peacefully on Friday, December 30, 2011 to join her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, surrounded by her family at their home. Born March 8, 1927 in Floral Park, New York she was the daughter of the late Adam Glueckert and the late Marie Cloke Glueckert. She was also preceded in death by her husband William M. Mooney who she married on September 21, 1947.



Maria moved from her hometown in Long Island, New York in 1989 to Tarpon Springs, Florida and then on to the Rome and Cartersville areas in 1996. She was employed as a bookkeeper until her retirement.



Survivors include her daughters Denise M. Martin and her husband James Arthur of Cartersville, and Maureen McDonald of Mt. Sinai, New York; and her grandchildren, Charissa and Reil Locke, Ryan Lazio and his fianc� Sara Lloyd, Bryan and Shannen McDonald, and Hope and James William Martin.



The family will receive friends from 6 � 8 on Sunday, January 1, 2012 at Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 430 Cassville Rd., Cartersville, GA 30120. Entombment will take place at a later date in Palm Harbor, Florida.
