Marian Hufstetler

May 29, 1930 — February 1, 2013

Mrs. Marian Maycille Hufstetler, 82, of McDonough, formerly of Cartersville, died Friday, February 01, 2013 at her residence. A native of Bartow County, she was born May 29, 1930 to the late Elihue Summey and the late Nellie Abernathy Summey.
Mrs. Hufstetler was a member of Bethany Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Reverend Clifford Hufstetler; her daughter, Joyce Carroll; her brothers, Reverend Francis Summey, Raymond Summey, Roy Summey, Reverend J. T. Summey and Reverend Albert Summey.
Survivors include her children, Annette and George Howell of McDonough, Nancy and Mike Hicks of Walland, Tennessee and Diane Hufstetler of McDonough; son-in-law, Rick Carroll of Cartersville; a brother, Reverend Jesse Summey of Smyrna; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, February 3, 2013 at Bethany Baptist Church with Reverend Donnie Summey and Reverend David Summey officiating. Interment will follow in Bethany Cemetery. Mrs. Hufstetler will be taken to the church on Sunday to lie-in-state from 1:00 p.m. until the funeral hour. The family will receive friends at Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services from 5 – 8 p.m. on Saturday.

Serving as pallbearers will be Cody Hicks, Dennis Gross, Barry Brown, Scott Underwood, John Baker, and Jason Robinson. Ricky Carroll, David Henderson and Jason Clark will serve as honorary pallbearers.
