Marian Williams

Mrs. Marian Dempsey Williams, age 86, of Rome, GA, died March 23, 2009, at her residence.



Mrs. Williams was born in Floyd County, GA on June 1, 1922. She was employed with Dellinger Inc. until they closed and was currently employed with TJ Maxx . Mrs. Williams was preceded in death by her husband, Burnett Wright Williams and a grandson, Derek Siniard.



Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Donna and Jerry Siniard of Rome; five grandchildren, Karen and Rob Thomas, Lisa and Dale Canada, Kim and David Harris, Shawn and Tony Barnette, and Cyd and Brad Graham; ten great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and a sister, Jean Van Doren of St. Paul, MN.



Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 26, 2009, at 3:00 P.M. in the Oaknoll Chapel of the McGuire, Jennings, & Miller Funeral Home with Rev. Max Tucker officiating. Interment will follow in the Morning View Cemetery.



The family will receive friends on Thursday from 1:00 P.M. until the funeral hour in the Oaknoll Chapel.



The following gentlemen have been asked to serve as active pallbearers and are requested to meet in the Oaknoll Chapel on Thursday by 2:30 P.M.: Kyle Stanley, Rob Thomas, Dale Canada, David Harris, Tony Barnett, and Brad Graham. The honorary pallbearer will be Shane Canada.
