Marie Alexander

Mrs. Marie Pace Alexander, age 91, passed away on Sunday, July 23, 2017 at Maple Ridge Nursing Home. She was born in Canton, Georgia on June 27, 1926, and was the daughter of the late Arthur Cleveland Pace and Beulah Gramling Pace.
Mrs. Alexander loved her children and grandchildren. She was strong willed and fought to the end. She enjoyed quilting, sewing and gardening. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her sons, Herman Alexander and Wilson Alexander; her grandsons, Dustin Alexander and Jeremy Alexander; and her great-grandson, Carey Martin.
Survivors include her daughters, Juanita Holcomb (Wendell), of Waco, Carolyn Howell (David), of Cartersville, Kathy Marie Alexander, of Cartersville; her sons, Hugh Alexander, of Adairsville, Chris Alexander (Nancy) of Cartersville; her sister-in-law, Viola Pace, of Land O' Lakes, Florida; along with ten grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 25, 2017 in the chapel of Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services with Reverend Terry Combs officiating. The family will receive friends from 12 – 1:30 p.m. prior to the service.
