Mrs. Marie Juanita Fancher Ross age 88, of Denton, TX formerly of Rome, GA, died August 7, 2009, in a Texas nursing home.
Mrs. Ross was born in Piper, AL on January 20, 1921, the daughter of the late Thomas Fancher and Pearl Johnson Fancher. She was a member of West Rome United Methodist Church and a member of the Eastern Star. In addition to her parents Mrs. Ross was preceded in death by her husband, Hugh P. Ross; a daughter, Jan Ross Schladensky; two sisters, Dorothy Sutton and Eunice McCulley; and a brother, F.R. Fancher.
Survivors include a son, Dale Ross of Trophy Club, TX; grandchildren, Michael Ross, Lindsay Ross Nash, Hal Worthington, and Scott Worthington; a sister, Sarah Savage of Rome; and a brother, Thomas Fancher of Gadsden, AL. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
A Celebration of Life and interment services will be held Sunday, August 9, 2009, at 3:00 P.M. in the Oaknoll Memorial Gardens with Rev. Les Connell officiating.
The family will receive friends Saturday, August 8, 2009 from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. in the Oaknoll Chapel of the McGuire Jennings & Miller Funeral Home.
