Marie Tapley

Mrs. Marie Couch Tapley, 59, of Cartersville passed away Saturday, November 19, 2011 at her residence. Born September 28, 1952 in Cartersville she was the daughter of the late James Thomas Couch, Sr. and the late Tinnie Marie Byars Couch. She was also preceded in death by her brothers, Vernon Couch, Ricky Couch, and James Edward Couch; her niece, Pam Couch; and her sister-in-law, Carolyn Simpson Couch.



Mrs. Tapley was a homemaker and a member of The Church at Liberty Square. She was a very good mother who had a loving spirit and never met a stranger.



Survivors include her husband of thirty-three years, Edwin Tapley; her son and daughter-in-law, Shannon and Lisa Tapley; her step grandsons, Austin Mchan, and Justin Runyon; her sisters, Mary Couch Owens of Acworth, Virginia Couch, Florence Couch Proctor, and Eunice Byars all of Cartersville; her brothers, Ernest Couch, Virgil Couch, and Clyde Couch all of Cartersville, and James Couch, Jr. of Canton, her brothers-in-law, Allen Owens, and Doyle Proctor; her sisters-in-law, Amanda Couch of Canton, Pat Couch of Cartersville, Geraldine Couch of White, and Jean Couch of Cartersville; her uncle, Roy Byars of Dallas; and several nieces and nephews.



Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Monday, November 21, 2011 in the chapel of Parnick Jennings Funeral Home with Dr. Joe E. Edwards and Reverend Allen J. Owens officiating. Entombment will follow in Providence Cemetery.



Serving as pallbearers will be Jody Collins, Mark Couch, Derek Couch, Steve Couch, J.T. Couch, and Tim Couch. These gentlemen are asked to be at the funeral home by 1:15 p.m. Monday.



The family will receive friends from 6 � 9 p.m. on Sunday at Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 430 Cassville Rd., Cartersville, GA 30120.
