Marie Williams

Mrs. Marie Elaina Massie Williams, age 43, of 122 Malone Drive, Rome, GA, died Monday, December 10, 2007, in a local hospital.

Mrs. Williams was born in Fairfax, VA, on April 9, 1964, the daughter of Richard and Jeannette Powers Myles of Douglasville, GA.. She loved her grandchildren, fishing, and baking cookies. Also, Mrs. Williams was of the Baptist faith and enjoyed her cats.

Mrs. Williams is survived by her husband, Norman Williams of Rome, GA, to whom she was married on December 9, 2005; three daughters, Kathy Brown of Rome, Jamie Jennings and her husband, Jason of Rome, and Leslie Edwards and her husband, Chad of Leesburg, AL; six granddaughters, Carrie Jennings of Rome, Kelsey Jennings of Rome, Myra Jennings of Rome, Alyssa Edwards of Leesburg, AL, Brittany Edwards of Leesburg, AL, and Amanda Brown of Rome, GA; a brother and sister-in-law, Steve and Donna Massie of Powder Springs, GA; and two sisters, and brothers-in-law, Karen and Edward Cochran of Villa Rica, GA and Valerie and Edward Daly of MI. Also, two nieces and two nephews survive.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, December 13, 2007, at 2:00 P.M. in the Heritage Chapel of the Jennings Funeral Home with Mr. Ralph Rush giving the eulogy. Interment will follow in teh Floyd Memory Gardens.

Mrs. Williams will remain in the Heritage Chapel of the Jennings Funeral Home where the family will receive friends on Wednesday from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M.
