Marta Kudriczy

Marta Kudriczy, 87, of Cartersville, passed away peacefully, on Tuesday, November 15, 2016 at her residence. She was born in Miskolc, Hungary on November 16, 1928 and was the daughter of the late General Istvan Kudriczy and Rose Dolencsics Kudriczy.
Ms. Kudriczy was of the Christian Faith and enjoyed telling her stories. Marta and her mother and sister left Hungary in 1945 and spent the next 5 years in refugee camps in Austria & Germany. She came to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania with her husband and first born in 1950. She never met a stranger. She lived a long full life and we all owe her a great deal in how we were raised and carried on through life. She was loving and sacrificed a lot out of love as a good mother and grandmother. We are sure she is in a better place and we will all meet again one day.
She is preceded in death by her parents and her grandchildren, Amy and Paul Medgyessy.
Survivors include her children, Marta Fordos, Katinka Fordos, Mary Ann Lux (Andrew), Egon Fordos (Mary Lou) and Melinda Crist (Robert); 11 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Agnes Karoly.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, November 19th at the home of Linda Crist. Friends and family may drop by the residence between the hours of 1:00 and 3:00 p.m. Feel free to call Linda with any questions. A memorial service in Cleveland, Ohio will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Homestead Hospice, 1 North Tennessee Street, Cartersville, Georgia, 30120.
