Martha Hyde

Mrs. Martha Jean Hyde, 71, of Cartersville, died Friday, August 28, 2015 at the home of her daughter.

Born March 6, 1944 in Cartersville, she was a daughter of the late Hubert Grogan and the late Rosa Lee Fields Grogan. Mrs. Hyde was of the Baptist Faith and enjoyed gospel singing and yard sales. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, David Hyde and Paul E. Brown; a son, James Wesley Brown; brothers, Sam Grogan and Joseph Grogan; sister, Shirley Grogan; and grandchildren, Shane Jordan and Jamie Jordan.

Survivors include her sons, Dennis Brown of Cassville, Jeff Brown of White, and Paul Brown, also of White; daughters, Synthia Vann and her husband Ronnie Thomason of Cartersville, and Connie Brown of Cartersville; a sister, Lula Mae Blackmon of Cartersville; grandchildren, Brandy Hovers, Kenneth Vann, Theresa King, Ken Vann, Marvin Brown, Christopher Vann, Nicole Noeller, Candy Brown, Faith Costlow, Austin Brown, Malcolm Brown, Bradley Kenneth Brown, Brent Lee Brown, Jessica Brown, Wesley Brown, Heather Stone, William Brown, and Abigail Brown; 23 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, September 2, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Parnick Jennings Funeral Home with The Reverend Terry Hale and The Reverend James Jewel officiating. Interment will follow in Cassville Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Monday, August 31, 2015 and Tuesday, September 1, 2015 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
