**Obituary for Martha Essie Mitchell**

Martha Essie Mitchell, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully at her residence in Cartersville, GA, on Tuesday, June 30th, 2026, at the age of 75. Born on October 11th, 1950, in Acworth, Georgia, Martha was a woman of warmth and laughter who touched the lives of all who knew her.

Martha is survived by her devoted husband, Jimmy Mitchell, and their loving children: Shelby Price (Randy), Bart Bryant (Heather), Charles Mitchell (Regina), and Bobby Mitchell. Her legacy continues through her cherished grandchildren: Ashley McLeod (Chris), Austin Price (Jessica), Brett Bryant, Emily Hughes (Seth), Victoria Gilbert (Jaron), Kyleigh Mitchell, Bennett Bryant, Bristol Bryant, and Casey Mitchell. She also leaves behind six adored great-grandchildren: Aubrey, Jackson, Jaxen, Tilley, Bodie, and Henry. Martha is survived by her siblings, Kathy Gravley, Ellen Bost, Billy Poole, and Paul Poole.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Cleveland and Rebecca Barger Poole, as well as her brothers, Earl and Lonnie Poole, and sisters, Pat Pittman and Margie Poole.

Martha retired as an HR manager with Prince Street Manufacturing, where she was respected and admired for her dedication and leadership. Beyond her professional accomplishments, Martha was deeply involved in her community and church, dedicating her time and energy to Center Baptist Church and the cherished fellowship group, The Golden Girls.

Known for her culinary talents, Martha loved cooking, baking, and canning, often sharing these gifts with family and friends. Her home was a gathering place filled with love and laughter, where she delighted in keeping her great-grandchildren and creating cherished memories.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate Martha's life during a visitation at Parnick Jennings Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Cartersville, GA, on Monday, July 6th, 2026, from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Her funeral service will be held at the same location on Tuesday, July 7th, 2026, at 2:00 pm, officiated by Reverend Joey Phillips. Burial will follow in Old Macedonia Cemetery.

Serving as pallbearers are Austin Price, Brett Bryant, Jaron Gilbert, Chris McLeod, Seth Hughes, and Bennett Bryant. Honorary pallbearers include Jeff Pittman, Michael Mitchell, Shay Mitchell, Jake Poole, Johnny Pittman, Donald Gravley, Jack Pittman, Blake Payne, and Brian Mitchell. 

Arrangements have been entrusted to Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services. Martha's spirit will be remembered with love and gratitude by all who were blessed to know her.
