Martha Odom

Mrs. Martha Sue Harris Odom age 79, of Rome, GA, died Monday, August 30, 2010, in a local hospital.



Mrs. Odom was born in Thomaston, GA on August 29, 1931, the daughter of the late Clarence and Myrtice Granger Harris. She retired from the Georgia Forestry Division after fifteen years of service.



Survivors include her husband of sixty years, William Earl Odom of Rome; a son and daughter-in-law, David and Barbara Odom of Cartersville, GA; two daughters, Bonnie Odom of Juneau, AK and Cindy Holbourn of Acworth, GA; three grandchildren, Brandy Murphy, Bradley Murphy, and Aimee Odom; and a sister, Ann Trendel of Lakeland, FL.



A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, September 4, 2010, at 2:00 P.M. in the Oaknoll Chapel of the McGuire, Jennings, & Miller Funeral Home with Rev. Michael Holt officiating. Interment will follow in the Oaknoll Memorial Gardens.



The family will receive friends Friday from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. in the Oaknoll Chapel.
