Martha Ann Reese (Gentry), 82, of Cartersville, Georgia, passed away on Friday, July 11, 2025. Born on March 4, 1943, she was the daughter of the late Eugene L. Gentry and the late Alma Cornwell Gentry. She is also preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, Ernest Reese; son, Steve McCoy; brother and sister-in-law, Calvin and Mary Gentry; and nieces, Robbie and Phyllis Gentry.
Martha worked as a cosmetologist for 25 years. She was an avid bowler, and she loved traveling with her husband, Ernest.
Survivors include her daughter, Ann Lipscomb (Buford); son, Randy Reese (Glenda); grandchildren, Jill Storey (Tim), Chris Lipscomb (Karen), Tara Collins (Aaron), Josh Lipscomb (Kristin), Erin Reese (Billy), and Rebecca Caroline (Todd); great grandchildren, Cambria Storey, Reese Storey, Chasen Minniefield (Kyndal), Garrett Collins, Reese Lipscomb, Landon Collins (Veronica), Nathaniel Mann, Kirk Lipscomb, Caleb Lipscomb, Jonah Lipscomb, Eli Caroline, Reagan Reese, Luke Caroline, Piper Reese, and Judah Caroline; great great grandchildren, Knox Storey, John Ezra Minniefield, Lane Minniefield, and Effie Minniefield; and siblings, Morris Gentry (Donna) and Doris Gentry.
The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, July 18, 2025, in the Parnick Jennings Funeral Chapel with Reverend Buford Lipscomb and Pastor Nathan Sanders officiating. Visitation for family and friends will be held from 12:00 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Friday, prior to the service. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers will be Tim Storey, Chris Lipscomb, Aaron Collins, Josh Lipscomb, Billy Reese, and Todd Caroline. Honorary pallbearers will be Garrett Collins, Reese Lipscomb, Landon Collins, Nathaniel Mann, Kirk Lipscomb, Caleb Lipscomb, Jonah Lipscomb, Eli Caroline, Luke Caroline, and Judah Caroline.
