Martha Turner

Martha Nelson Turner, 86, of Taylorsville died Sunday, January 10, 2010 at the Etowah Landing Care and Rehabilitation in Rome. Born February 24, 1923 in Taylorsville, she was the daughter of the late Arthur James Nelson and the late Annie Davis Nelson. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Turner; and her brothers and sister.



Martha was a graduate of Taylorsville High School. She owned and operated Martha�s Beauty Shop in Cartersville. She was also a member of Grace Baptist Church.



Survivors include her children, Charlotte S. Albury and her husband, Roland, of Man O� War Cay Abaco, Bahamas, Sharon T. Camp and her husband, Gene, of Taylorsville, and Gary Turner and Carl Bawlwin of Arlington, Virginia; her grandchildren, Eric and Cheryl Stewart, Lana and Jeff Jamieson, Rebecca Huskey; her great-grandchildren, Casey Stewart, Hank Stewart, Houston Stewart, Tripp Jamieson, Cole Jamieson, Zack Huskey, Noah Albury, and Michela Albury; and a number of nieces and nephews.



Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 p.m. Thursday, January 14, 2010 in the chapel of Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services with Rev. Doug Harris officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memory Gardens. Representatives of the Turner family will serve as pallbearers.



The family will receive friends from 5 � 8 p.m. Wednesday at Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 430 Cassville Rd., Cartersville, GA 30120.
