Martha Woody

Martha Pinion Woody, 66, of White, Georgia passed away Thursday, November 26, 2009 after a lengthy illness. Born December 18, 1942 in Cartersville, she was the daughter of the Late James Young and the late Neva Mundy Young. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Carl Woodie, and her brother, John Pinion.



Martha was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church in White and was an avid reader. She enjoyed playing horseshoes in her younger years.



Survivors include four sons and daughters in-law, Terry and Veronica Woody of Kingston, Jeff Woody of Almos, GA, Danny Woody of White, and Dale and Angie Woody of White; one daughter, Debbie Amos of White; eight grandchildren; five great�grandchildren, three brothers and sisters-in-law, Grady and Norma Jean Pinion of Emerson, Jimmy and Sara Pinion of White, and Oris Pinion of Cleveland, TN.



Funeral services will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Monday, November 30, 2009 in the chapel of Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services with Rev. Michael Matthews officiating. Interment will follow in Providence Cemetery.



Serving as pallbearers will be Justin Amos, Chaela Woody, Dustin Woody, Felcia Woody, Jessica Woody, Jennifer Woody, and Hope Woody. Pallbearers are requested to meet at the funeral home at 2:00 p.m. Monday.



The family will receive friends from 6 - 9 p.m. Sunday, November 29, 2009 at Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 430 Cassville Rd., Cartesville, GA 30120.
