Marvin Oliver

Marvin H. Oliver, age 73, of Cassville, died Thursday, Oct. 16, 2008 at Sunbridge Care & Rehab for Seven Hills in Rome. Born in Emerson on March 14, 1935, he was the son of the late Clemmons Oliver and Myrtle Tanner Oliver. Prior to retirement Mr. Oliver was employed by the Corp of Engineers. Preceding him in death are his parents; his wife, Mittie C. Smith Oliver; a brother, George Hibberts, Jr.; and two grandsons, David Oliver and Jacky Amos.



Survivors include his sons and daughter-in-law, Larry and Tina Oliver; Teddy Oliver; his daughters and son-in-law, Janice and John Jenkins; Glenda Oliver; his grandchildren, Daniel and Robin Oliver, Angie Amos, Tracy, Brittany and Christie Austin; three great- grandchildren, Isaiah and Liem Oliver, and Haven Amos.



Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 19, 2008 in Oak Hill Cemetery with Rev. Rodney Kennedy officiating. The family received friends at Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services on Saturday from 6 � 9 p.m.
