Mary Anna Archer, age 76, of Cartersville passed away on Thursday, May 29, 2008 at Heartland Hospice House. Born in Waterbury, Connecticut on February 27, 1932, she was the daughter of the late Peter Alanskas and Anna Lazdauskas Alanskas. She was a member of the American Legion Auxillary, former owner/operator of Jo Ann's Hobby Shop and O Happy Days Cafe. During her lifetime she was known to love Moonpies and R.C. Colas, as many of us did. She and her sister picked cotton in the area while growing up.

Survivors include her daughters and son-in-laws, Mary Jane and Scrappy Joiner of Newnan; Jo Ann and Bob Moore of Cartersville; one son Paul David Archer, Jr. of Cartersville. Her brother Peter Alanskas of Middlebury, Connecticut; two sisters Lillian Smith of Beacon Falls, Connecticut; Pat Russo of Woodbridge, Connecticut; 10 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; son-in-law Brian Stonecypher of Cartersville; several nieces and nephews of Connecticut.

Funeral Services will be conducted at 4:00 p.m. Sunday, June 1, 2008 in the chapel of Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services with Rev. Bobby Wright and Mr. Bob Moore officiating. Burial will follow at Cassville Cemetery. Pallbearers are asked to be at the funeral home by 3:15.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m until 9:00 p.m., Saturday, May 31st at Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 430 Cassville Road, Cartersville.
