Mary Craig Barnette, age 94, passed away on Monday, March 4, 2024, at her home in Cartersville, Georgia.
Mary was born on December 19, 1929, in Cartersville, Georgia. She was employed by EZ Mills and Cartersville Cable TV before retirement. She was the daughter of the late Jake Craig & Jessie Pearl Craig. She is also predeceased by her husband Clifford Barnette Jr.; her son-in-law Zack Knox; and her granddaughter Lorie Knox.
She is survived by her daughters Dianne Knox and Angie Barnette; her grandchildren and great-grandchildren Katie, Jeramey, Jake, Ally, and Evan Schmanski; Cliff, Amelia, Thoreau, Hadassah, Garrison, Araminta, and Barnette Lipscomb; Craig and Zea Leonard; and Eric, Allie, Slade, Dax, and Colton Bell.
A funeral service will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Thursday, March 7, 2024, at Parnick Jennings Funeral Home, with Pastor Jonathan Padgett and Cliff Lipscomb officiating. An interment will follow the service at Oak Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 7, 2024, for a short visitation prior to the service. Serving as pallbearers are Cliff Lipscomb, Thoreau Lipscomb, Jeramey Schmanski, Jake Schmanski, Craig Leonard, and Eric Bell. Serving as an honorary pallbearer is a special cousin Barry Gilmer.
