Mary Lorene Bearden, 85, of Cartersville passed away on June 2, 2025, at Townsend Park Health & Rehabilitation.
Born in Cartersville on September 12, 1939, she was the daughter of the late James Ponder, and the late Arnedo Garrett Ponder. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Ray Bearden; her children, Gregory Ray Bearden, and Lori Lynn Bearden; and her siblings, Fred Ponder;and her brother-in-laws, Reverend Morris Bearden, and Wallace Bearden.
Survivors include her daughter, Angie Maltz (Larry), her grandchildren, Kelly Blake Miller (Gabby), and Kasey Lee Miller (Megan); her great grandchildren, Sofia Miller, and Viviana Miller; her brother, Larry Ponder (Lynda); her sisters-in-law, Barbara Bearden, Lucille Bearden, and Evelyn Ponder; and several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 7, 2025, in the chapel of Parnick Jennings Funeral Home with Reverend Jeff Bearden & Brother Joe Land officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. on Friday, June 6, 2025, at the funeral home.
Serving as pallbearers will be Darrin Bearden, Jeff McEver, Kelly Miller, and Kasey Miller.
