Mary Bostic

Mary Catherine Bostic, age 57, of Cartersville, Georgia, passed away suddenly at her home on Wednesday, July 26, 2023.

Mary was born in St. Joseph, Missouri to the late James Lawson Bird and Marjorie June Bird on June 19, 1966. She is also preceded in death by her brothers James Wesley Bird, Rodney Glen Bird, Leonard Gleason Bird, and Robert Eugene Bird.

She is survived by her adoring husband of 41 years, Kenneth Wayne Bostic; her loving children Kaela Kennedy (Thaddeus), Patrick Bostic (Melissa), and niece whom she cared for as her own, Meloney Hogan; her grandchildren Amelia Kennedy, Theo Kennedy, Magnolia Kennedy, and Noah Kennedy; her siblings Diana Lee Hammil, Vailla Reece Dittemore, Debi Jones (Michael), Janice Uhles (David), and Gary Leon Bird (Patty), as well as several nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

Mary spent most of her childhood living in West Miami, Florida. She obtained her master's degree later in life and spent her career as an educator in Primrose Schools. As a lifelong student herself, she thoroughly enjoyed teaching. She enjoyed sewing and arts and crafts and was passionate about her five dogs, whom she loved dearly. She was very devoted to her husband Kenneth, her children, and her grandchildren. She will be sorely missed.

A funeral service will be held for Mary at 12:30 pm on Saturday, July 29, in the chapel of Parnick Jennings Funeral Home with Keith Willard officiating. The family will receive friends for a visitation from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm prior to the service.
