Mary Boston

Mrs. Mary Lindsey Boston, 76, of Cartersville, widow of the late Billy Junior Boston, died Saturday, December 26, 2015 at her residence.

Born May 31, 1939 in Rome, GA, she was a daughter of the late Roy Lindsey and the late Bertie Hammonds. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by daughters, Jeanne Rogers and Denise Wood; son, Robert Franklin Rogers, Jr.; brothers, Roy Lindsey, Jr. and Gene Lindsey; sisters, Lorena Self, Bonnie Kilgore and Sue Loveless.

Mary was employed by Shaw Industries for over 20 years as a machine operator. She was a beautiful, giving person who loved her family. She enjoyed gardening and canning. She especially loved spending time with her family.

Survivors include daughters, Janet Templeton (Harvey) of Cartersville, Jennifer Guyton (Robert) of Center; son, Derrick Boston (Kathleen) of Rome; sisters, Betty Costlow of Taylorsville, Marie Cromer of Rome; brothers, Bobby Lindsey of Rome, Donald Lindsey of Rome; special friend, Mike Lare of Delaware; nine grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, December 29, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services with The Reverend Donald Lindsey officiating. Entombment will follow in Sunset Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends on Monday, December 28, 2015 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Serving as Pallbearers will be Dorian Templeton, Josh Templeton, Lee Queen, Randy Cromer, Howell Costlow and Alan Lindsey. Honorary Pallbearers will be Michael Self and Jacob Cabe.
