Mary Boyd

Mary A. Boyd, 82, of Cartersville died Saturday February 27, 2016 at her residence. Born December 26, 1933 in Atlanta Ga. she was the daughter of the late Homer P. Atkins and Mary Ann Pinson Atkins. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by a grandson Jesse Boyd.

Mary was a devout Catholic and active member of Saint Francis of Assisi Catholic Church. She loved her family deeply and was an excellent homemaker.

Survivors include her husband of 62 years, Billy H. Boyd; her children Dale Boyd, Rita Boyd and Mike Boyd and his wife Libby; her grandchildren Nicholas Boyd, and Brandy Boyd; and her great-grandson Talon Ferguson.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday March 1, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at Saint Francis of Assisi Catholic Church with Father Juan Anzora officiating. Interment will be at Sunset Memory Gardens. Mary will lie-in-state Tuesday at the church starting at 1:00 p.m.

The family will receive friends Monday evening February 29, 2016 at Parnick Jennings Funeral Home from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.

Flowers will be accepted, but for those who wish, a donation can be made to Saint Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, 850 Douthit Ferry Rd. Cartersville Ga. 30120 in memory of Mary.
