Mrs. Mary Jean Teems Clark, 79, of Cartersville, widow of the late Clyde Clinton Teems and the late Wyatt Clark, died Friday, June 28, 2013 at her residence.
Born March 13, 1934 in Cartersville, she was a daughter of the late Reverend Hugh Eugene Hubbard and the late Mary Mina Pope Hubbard. Mrs. Clark was a member of the Church at Liberty Square where she attended Sunday School and was a member of the Mighty Warriors, with whom she enjoyed travelling. In addition to her parents and husbands, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Donna Bryant; a brother, R. C. Hubbard; and sisters, Ruth Cowart and Sarah Cowart.
Survivors include her daughters, Jannifer Teems Holland and her husband Spright of Cartersville, Julia Teems Cornwell and her husband Michael of Lawrenceville, and Jill Teems Jones and her husband Darryl of Cartersville; sisters, Jeanette Jackson of Cartersville, and Emma Jo Stocks of Calhoun; grandchildren, Jody Ray, Tanner Jones, Jena Bryant, and Jessica Bryant White; great-grandchildren, Julia Ray, Joannah Ray, and Sawyer White; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held on Sunday, June 30, 2013 at 3:00 p.m. at the Church at Liberty Square with The Reverend Dr. Joe E. Edwards and The Reverend Jerry Cowart officiating. Interment will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery. Mrs. Clark will lie in state at the church, one hour prior to the service, and members of the Mighty Warriors are asked to serve as Honorary Pallbearers. The family will receive friends on Saturday, June 29, 2013 from 7 until 9:00 p.m. at Parnick Jennings Funeral Home.
