Mary Hames

Mrs. Mary G. Hames, 75, of Cartersville, passed away Tuesday, August 28, 2012 at a local hospital. She was born in Detroit, Michigan, May 24, 1937, and was the daughter of the late Hadar Leapold Noren and the late Anna Linnea Nelson Noren. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, William Hames; her sister, Svea Walters; and her brother-in-law, Pat Walters.
Mrs. Hames was retired from the Clorax Company formerly known as Union Carbide.
She is survived by her children and their spouses, Donna and Grant Adcock and Kenneth and Jerri Leachman; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren and one on the way; four nieces and two nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 7:00 p.m., Thursday, August 30, 2012 in the chapel of Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services with Joe Nix officiating. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service.
