Mrs. Mary Yvonne Holder, 86, of Cartersville, formerly of Canton, died on Friday, October 07, 2016 at her residence.
She was born on August 26, 1930 in Bristol, Georgia and was the daughter of the late James Vaughan Sutton and Lillie Mae Ray Sutton. Mrs. Holder was a member of First Baptist Church of Canton and was a former Licensed Practical Nurse. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Gordon Lee Holder and a sister, Gwen Denney.
Survivors include her son, Robert L. Holder and wife, Brenda; her daughter, Mary E. Rogers and husband, Garry; her grandchildren, Chris Cash and wife Tressa, Sharon Holder (Donna Reeve), and Nancy Holder; great-grandchildren, Lee, Jesse and Blake Cash; and her brother, Carlos Sutton and wife, Joyce.
A graveside service will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday, October 11, 2016 in the Georgia National Cemetery in Canton with the Reverend Keith Guyton officiating.
