Mary Hornbuckle

Mary Helen Hornbuckle, 83, of 961 Cass-Ping Log Rd., Rydal, passed away Friday, February 29, 2008 at her residence. Born December 14, 1924 in Murphy, North Carolina, she was the daughter of the late George Victor Hartness and the late Nolie Brooks Hartness. Mary Helen enjoyed gardening and raising her family.

Survivors include her husband of 60 plus years, Hubert E. Hornbuckle of Cartersville; six children, Dale Hornbuckle, Gary, and Johnny Hornbuckle, all of Cartersville, Randy Hornbuckle of Rome, Myra Cease of Woodstock, and Jason Hornbuckle of Rydal, two brothers, Charlie Hartness of Murphy, NC and Gene Hartness of Ohio; two sisters, Hattie Ray of Dalton and Gladys Morrow; 18 grandchildren; and 19 Great Grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, March 2, 2008, in the chapel of Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services with Rev. Chris McDowell and Rev. Rusty Hardin officiating. Burial will follow in the White Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Shane Hornbuckle, Matthew Hornbuckle, Greg Hornbuckle, Dillion Hornbuckle, Michael Hornbuckle, Johnny Shook, and Nicolas Madon. Gentlemen serving as pallbearers are requested to be at the funeral home by 1:45 p.m. on Sunday.

The family will receive friends from 6 – 9 p.m. Saturday at Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 430 Cassville Rd., Cartersville, GA 30120.
