Mary Levy

Ms. Mary Katherine Vaughn Levy age 93, of Rome, GA, died Monday, August 16, 2010, in a local hospital.



Ms. Levy was born in Marshall, AL on February 12, 1917, the daughter of the late Edward Vaughn and Etta McWhorter Vaughn. She retired as a beautician and was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church. In addition to her parents Ms. Levy was preceded in death by seven sisters, Connie, May, Vesper, Ruby, Mossie, Marie, and Edna and two brothers, Jimmy and Claudus Vaughn.



Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Deanne and James Dobbs of Rome; two grandchildren, Kelley Dobbs Burnett and Kim Dobbs Watson; a great-granddaughter, Shanah Yearous Hoyt; and two great- great-granddaughters, Ella and Olivia Hoyt. Several nieces and nephews also survive.



A Celebration of Life will be held Wednesday, August 18, 2010 at 11:00 A.M. in the Oaknoll Chapel of the McGuire, Jennings, & Miller Funeral Home with Dr. Dale Levan officiating. Interment will follow in the Oaknoll Memorial Gardens.



The family will receive friends Wednesday from 10:00 A.M. until the funeral hour in the Oaknoll Chapel.
