Mary Lingerfelt

Mary Marie Lingerfelt, 71 of Kingston, Georgia, went home on October 8, 2024. She was born on July 29, 1953, to the late Arvel E Pope and the late Dora G Pope. In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by her daughter-in-law, Christy Lingerfelt; brothers, Edwin Pope, Donnie Pope, and James Pope; sister-in-law Louise Pope; and a brother-in-law, Charles Adcock.

Marie loved Jesus with her whole heart. She was married to Robert for 51 years and was a loving mother, wife, and grandmother, great grandmother, sister, and aunt. She was devoted to her entire family and loved to cook and spend time with them.

Survivors include her husband, Robert E. Lingerfelt; children Jason, Stacy (Felipe), Michael (Rhonda), and Greg (Gretchen); sibling Emalene Adcock, Glenn Pope (Faye), Raymond Pope (Charlene), Ann Hobgood (Windle), and Debra Addison; sister-in-law Jhonnie Pope; a host of granchildren and great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, October 12, 2024 in the Chapel of Parnick Jennings Funeral Home with Reverend Greg Gardner and Ronnie Pope officiating. Burial will follow at Kingston City Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11:00 am to 12:30 pm on Saturday prior to the service.

Serving as pallbearers will be Jovani, Zack, Jaymie, Colby, Scotty and Anthony. Honorary pallbearers will be Cody, Daniel, and Hunter.
