Mary Elizabeth Pillsbury Martin, 54, passed away Saturday, February 12, 2011 at her residence. Born August 24, 1956 in Rantoul, Illinois, she was the daughter of Tom Pillsbury, Sr. and the late Naomi Collins Pillsbury. Preceding her in death along with her mother, Naomi is her �mama� Bernice Pillsbury (Mama Pillsbury) and a grandchild, Brant Hoover.
Elizabeth was a beloved mother of two and an incredible grandmother. She was a devoted nurse for thirty-six years, but most of her devotion took place at home nursing the bumps and bruises of her loving family. She was a member of Mountain Gap Baptist Church.
Elizabeth is survived by her soul mate of thirty-seven years, Andy (Drew) Martin of Cartersville; her father, Tom Pillsbury, Sr. of Griffin; her son and daughter-in-law, Mick and Kim Martin of Locust Grove; her daughter, Brianne Martin Hoover of Stockbridge; her siblings, Lavonda Roberts of Cartersville, Tom Pillsbury, Jr. of Griffin, Ann Evans of North Carolina, Tim Pillsbury of Griffin and Billy Pillsbury also of Griffin; her grandchildren, Caleb Boone Hoover, Ryan Callahan, Kylie Callahan, Peyton Martin and Cayden Martin; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, February 17, 2011 in the chapel of Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services with Steve Martin officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6 � 9 p.m. Wednesday at Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 430 Cassville Road, Cartersville.
