Mary Elizabeth "Libby" Miller of 116 Manor Way in Cartersville, was born on April 15, 1938 and passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones on Saturday, October 20, 2018.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Lester Roberson and Edith Hames Roberson, husband of 55 years, Billy Miller, son-in-law Larry Wilson, and brother John Roberson.
Mary Elizabeth "Libby" is survived by her three children; daughter Peggy Wilson (Jerry May), son Terry Miller (Kim), and daughter Debbie Hawkins (John); seven grandchildren, Cicily Hardin (Derrick), Cassie Pichon (Billy), Bryce Miller (Athena), Bronwyn Gresham (Bobby), Easton Hawkins (Heather), Alyssa Cole (Robert), and Spencer Miller; and ten great-grandchildren, Kendyl and Kole Hardin, Will and Logan Pichon, Hayden and Arlie Miller, Zoe and Cambria Gresham, Makenna Martin, and Emma Gilliam; brothers Bennett and George Roberson, sisters Martha Hubbard and Patricia Strickland of Kingston; and beloved companion of six years, Thomas Porter.
At 80 years of age, Mary Elizabeth leaves behind a legacy of a fully-lived life. Aside from being a mother and loving grandmother/great-grandmother, she was the owner of Wedding Knot Caterers, an avid seamstress, a floral designer, carpenter, bowler, and dedicated servant of her Lord Jesus Christ and a member of Gracewalk Church (formerly Canton Road Church of God). She enjoyed travel, yard sales, reading, outings with her Senior group at Gracewalk Church, and supporting her grandchildren/great-grandchildren throughout each stage of their lives.
Visitation will be held at Parnick Jennings Funeral Home in Cartersville, Ga. from 5-8 pm on Monday, October 22. A celebration of her life will be held on Tuesday, October 23 at 2pm at Gracewalk Church (formerly Canton Road Church of God) in Cartersville. Following the service, she will be laid to rest beside her late husband at Sunset Memory Gardens.
