Mary Mullinax

April 1, 1928 — March 16, 2008

Mrs. Mary L. Mullinax, 79, of Autumn Years Assisted Living Center and formerly of 455 Law Rd., Cartersville, passed away Sunday, March 16, 2008 at the Cartersville Medical Center. A native of Bartow County, she was born April 1, 1928 and was the daughter of the late William Wesley Leachman and the late Bertha Goss Leachman. Mrs. Mullinax had been employed with Nantucket and was a member of Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, J.T. Mullinax, Sr.; six brothers; and three sisters.

Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Johnette and Terry Dawson; her sons and daughter-in-law, Dewayne and Cindy Mullinax, J.T. Mullinax, Jr., and Kevin Mullinax; her grandchildren, Teresa Dawson Stiles, Suzanne Mullinax, Connor Mullinax, Raven Mullinax, Dylan Mullinax, and Dalton Mullinax; her great-grandchildren, Joshua Stiles and Jordan Stiles; her sisters, Betty Knight and Lillie House; her brothers, Ralph Leachman and Billy Leachman; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 18, 2008 in the chapel of Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services with Rev. David Baker and Douglas Simpson officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Pisgah Church Cemetery.

Serving as pallbearers will be Steve Leachman, Justin Kimbell, Blake Johnson, Ivan Holden, Barry Holden, Benjie Holden, Billy Wayne Leachman, and Douglas Simpson. Gentlemen serving as pallbearers are requested to meet at the funeral home by 1:15 p.m. on Tuesday.

The family will receive friends from 6 – 9 p.m. Monday, March 17, 2008 at Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 430 Cassville Rd., Cartersville, GA 30120.
