Mary Parker

Mrs. Mary "Rosie "Parker, age 92, of Kingston passed away on Friday, November 6, 2020 in Rome, with family by her side. She was born on January 15, 1928 in Altoona, Pennsylvania, a daughter of the late Charles and Anna McLucas. She married William R. Parker, Sr. on September 30, 1947 and moved to Georgia.

Rosie is preceded in death by her loving husband of 42 years; her great-grandson, Kyle Gresham; and her brothers and sisters.

Rosie was of the Catholic faith but also attended Kingston United Methodist Church for many years. She enjoyed cooking, baking, reading and spending time with her friends and family, especially attending her great-grandson Will's baseball games.

Rosie is survived by her daughter, Rita "Suzie" Gresham; her son, Bill Parker (Darlene); her grandchildren, Cindy Hardigree (Joey), Rick Parker (Lee Ann), Melissa Orff (Tim), Darlene McDonald (Jeff); great-grandchildren, Will Hardigree, Bradley and Ansley Parker, Hudson and Lucy Orff, and Colin and Parker McDonald.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, November 12, 2020 from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. at Parnick Jennings Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Friday, November 13, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of Parnick Jennings Funeral Home with Rob Touchstone officiating. Burial will follow in Georgia Memorial Cemetery in Marietta, GA.
