Mary Rogers

Mrs. Mary Francis Rogers, 83, of Cartersville passed away Friday, March 15, 2013 at her residence.

Born February 18, 1930 in Stanton, Kentucky she was the daughter of the late Simon Hezecarl Rogers and the late Betty Jane Meadows Rogers. She was also preceded in death by her husband Buford Rogers. Mrs. Rogers passed away on the same day as her husband twenty-three years prior.

Mrs. Rogers was a homemaker who loved reading her bible, birds, flowers, collecting dolls, jigsaw puzzles, and crossword puzzles. She was a good Christian woman who was loving and kind hearted. Mrs. Rogers was a member of the Landmark Holiness Church.

Survivors include her daughters, Carol Leachman, Gail Rubeck, Helen Trowbridge and Debra Wilson all of Cartersville; her sons, Rick Rogers of Bryan, Ohio and Jim Rogers of Sherwood, Ohio; her sister, Vileda Bellamy of Winchester, Kentucky; her brothers, Price Rogers and Levi Rogers both of Stanton, Kentucky; her twenty-three grandchildren, thirty-nine great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, March 18, 2013 at the Landmark Holiness Church with the Reverend Doug Simons officiating. Mrs. Rogers will lie in state one hour prior to the service. A graveside service will be held at 4:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 20, 2013 in the Meadows Family Cemetery in Stanton, Kentucky. The family will receive friends from 3:00-7:00 p.m. on Sunday at the Landmark Holiness Church in Cartersville.
